Why does your serum work to reduce dark spots and hyperpigmentation?
Ans: Our formulation uses a combination of potent ingredients that work together to improve the appearance of the skin. Alpha Arbutin is a skin-lightening compound derived from plant leaves, which inhibits the enzyme tyrosinase that produces melanin. When Alpha Arbutin is applied topically to the skin, it penetrates the outermost layer of the skin, called the stratum corneum. Once inside the skin, Alpha Arbutin is converted into its active form, reducing melanin production which inturn reduces the appearance of dark spots and pigmentation.
Tyrostat™ 9 is derived from the extract of the leaves of the African plant Rumex occidentalis. It inhibits the enzyme tyrosinase, reducing melanin production and the appearance of dark spots. Tyrostat™ 9 blocks the conversion of tyrosine to dopaquinone in the process of melanogenesis, and its antioxidant properties protect skin from damage. Combined with lemon, licorice root, and mulberry extract this serum provides a synergistic effect. These natural ingredients are safe and effective options for individuals looking to achieve a more even, radiant complexion.
